Coir Fibre

Coir fibre (coconut fibre) is the coarse fibre extracted from the outer husk of the coconut, separated by retting and mechanical extraction, then cleaned, dried and graded before it leaves our facility.

We supply two grades. Brown fibre comes from fully matured coconuts — tougher and coarser, suited to brushes, doormats, brooms and upholstery filling. White fibre comes from younger husks — softer and more pliable, better suited to rope, twine and net-making. For geotextiles and erosion-control matting, a blend of both is common: strength from brown, flexibility from white. Tell us the end product and we can recommend the right grade rather than leave you to guess.

Typical specification: compressed-bale packaging, brown or white grade, custom blends available on request.
